Random Picker

The random picker is the most flexible tool in the generator collection. It doesn't have a preset list — you bring your own. Paste any list of options, choose how many to pick, and get a random selection. It works for anything: dinner options, movie titles, names for a raffle, project ideas, survey options, book titles, travel destinations, or anything else you'd normally write on paper slips and draw from a hat.

No duplicates mode ensures each item can only appear once in the results — essential for lottery-style draws, fair assignments, and any situation where picking the same item twice would be a problem. With duplicates allowed, items can appear multiple times, which is useful for weighted sampling simulations or repeated-trial scenarios.

Common real-world uses: Raffle and giveaway draws where you list participant names and pick a winner. Random assignment of tasks to team members. Picking a random movie from a watchlist. Deciding which book to read next from a reading list. Assigning roles in a game. Creating random quiz question orders. The tool works for any list from 2 items to hundreds.

The numbered list output makes it clear which pick was first, second, third — useful when order matters (first pick gets first prize, etc.). Results can be copied as a line-separated list for sharing or pasting into other tools.
